AWANA Recognition

Chloe was one of two Cubbies in AWANA that was to recite a verse for church this past Sunday for AWANA Recognition Day. AWANA is a club that meets every Sunday night from 5-7 pm. Cubbies is the 3 and 4 year old group. Each Cubbie is supposed to learn a new Bible verse each week and recite it when they come on Sunday nights. After learning three verses, each Cubbie gets a new patch to go on their vest. Chloe learned this verse weeks ago, and she still enjoys saying it mostly because we put hand motions with it, because it was so long for the little ones to learn. Chloe is technically not supposed to be in Cubbies until next year, but Mrs. Lisia, the AWANA commander, said if I direct the Cubbies this year, she would let Chloe go ahead and start. I agreed to do it, and therefore Chloe is the youngest in the Cubbies group. We are so proud of our little girl! She is so good at memorizing these verses. I can even get her to recite verses that we learned back in August just by giving her a couple of the starting words. I pray that the Scriptures she has learned stay written on her heart always.
Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Mark 11:9
