Blue Angels Air Show

We went to the Golden Wings over Meridian Air Show this weekend. We had a good trip down there, and the show was great! Beautiful day for an air show. We picked up Uncle Jason and cousin Amanda on the way and met Uncle Jamie, Aunt Alison, Laken and Maddox at the show. The first airplanes freaked Chloe out, but Ella was just looking left and right searching for where the planes were coming from next and then pointing when she found them. Chloe and I toured one of the really big planes and sat in the drivers' seats. Chloe finally got o.k. with the noise when Ben bought all the kids ice cream and then everyone got their kids souvenir Blue Angels. Leaving the show and the drive home was a total nightmare, but we made it through it.Pretty sure this was Chloe's first school bus ride! We were shuttled to the air field.Ella's first school bus ride! Hair blowing in the wind! I love the look on her face!Check us out in the drivers' seats! The plane was huge! Reunited! These girls loooove each other!Ella saying hi to the cousins =) Amanda and her daddy Look how low it got! This is the size of the plane we got to tour.

Chloe's First TeeBall Practice

Today at 6:00 was Chloe's first practice with her teeball team. After over a week of warm weather, the temps dropped today making it pretty cold at practice. Her coaches are Dustin and Autumn McCaleb. Each player got to hit off the tee several times and field the ball. They did just a little bit of throwing after they caught the ball. Chloe did a great job for her first practice. Her first hit was one of the best hits of the whole practice, and she learned to drop the bat and run to first base. She didn't cry at all which is awesome for her! She had a little bit of a hard time when we told her to go catch the ball and someone else ran up and got it. She thought it was her turn, so the team concept is something she is going to have to get adjusted to. All in all, we were really proud of our little ball player. Ella had a great time too running around on the field and yelling, as usual.

Ready to catch the ball!

Visit to see Dada

Grammy and G-Paw joined the girls and I for a trip down to Ocean Springs, MS to visit Dada. He has been there for two weeks and will be coming home this weekend after 3 weeks. We had a really good visit that started out with a rough night of ear aches and potty troubles, but we ended up being rested and got to do a lot of things. The girls were really glad to see their Dada, and can't wait for him to get home. We went to the outlet mall on Saturday. We ate lunch at the BlowFly Inn, which was delicious and reasonably priced, especially the lunch menu! We ate at Wasabi Hibachi Grill for supper. Chloe got scared of the fire and neither one of the girls ate much, but the rest of us adults enjoyed the food and the show! Sunday we went to Sicily's Italian Buffet for lunch. It was a mad house, because it was directly on the parade route, but it was really yummy! After lunch was the Mardi Gras parade. Most of the time I was like, "I can't believe I brought my children to this", and the other half thought it was pretty fun. Lots of toys, beads, cups, and other doodads were collected. We did a little more shopping and got a snack from Sonic before making a quick stop for pictures at the beach, which did not go well. Hopefully Aunt Marley can do some photoshopping. After that, we headed back to the hotel and sent the guys out for shrimp po boys from Mike's. Late Monday morning we ate at IHOP and then headed home. All in all, it was well worth the trouble of driving 5 hours down there!

Chloe got to shake the one and only Elmo's hand!

Ella made friends with this Husky named Sam. She just loves animals!
