Weekend Events

Thursday, February 10, 2011 - Snow Day Friday, February 11, 2011 - Company's Coming! Saturday, February 12, 2011 - A Day at the Cabin

Uncle Jamie, Aunt Alison, Laken, Maddox, Seth and Jacob came for a weekend visit. Saturday was spent out at the cabin riding ATVs and then the gang went to a Monster Truck show. I didn't get many pictures of the weekend, but it was a good time with family. We look forward to the next get together with them!

Chloe's First Performance

Chloe was asked to sing a song in the Valentine Banquet at our church Sunday, February 13. We picked out the song "Some Day My Prince Will Come" as sung by Snow White, and Grammy sewed her a Snow White dress. After she practiced on stage, she said it was fun, and she wanted to do it again. She kept asking, "Where's the stage?". After getting dressed and ready to perform it "for real", we walked into the ROC, and she walked straight up to the stage and got on it. She was ready to go! But luckily the show hadn't started yet. She started getting sick as the night went on, coughing and coughing and looking sleepy, but she performed as the first act and did well! She even did a bow that we didn't rehearse at all; I just asked her to bow, and she did! So proud of my little girl!

Big Snow Fun

We had a HUGE snow today. In fact, it is still going. I can't wait to get outside with Chloe tomorrow and really play in it. We made snow ice cream today and tested out our snowballer. It was our first time to make snow ice cream. It was surprisingly good, and we will probably make it every time it snows now. Chloe added a little strawberry syrup to hers. In case your wondering, Ella has been sick with a bad cold(again!), and she slept through all of these events.

Snow Ice Cream

1 gallon snow

1 cup white sugar

1 tbs vanilla extract

2 cups milk

Sweet and Sour Sauce

Ella has tasted McDonald's sweet and sour sauce before, but this time she was really loving it! Sorry, these are poor quality iPhone pics.
